Meet the team

Aoife Morrison

Meet Aoife Morrison, the visionary owner (and proud alumna!) of Action Arts Stage School. Aoife wears many hats as an actor, writer, vocalist and director. She trained and graduated as a professional actor at The Gaiety School of Acting, The National Theatre School of Ireland. She is also an associate teacher with the Irish Board of Speech and Drama.

With a wealth of experience in the theatre realm over the last 24 years, appearing in many plays and short films across Ireland, most recently directing and starring in Alix Bailey’s award winning show ‘Trolleyd’ for Dublin Gay Theatre Festival, Aoife’s true happiness lies in sharing her skills and experiences with the young people she teaches. Known for her ability to create a fun, silly and nurturing atmosphere, Aoife invites you to join her at Action Arts, where creativity thrives under her expert guidance.

Aoife is a qualified first responder and covid compliance officer.

Freya Rothwell

Freya Rothwell is a teacher and former student and graduate of Action Arts Stage School. Freya is a writer, actor, and artist, and is currently in her final year of studying English, Drama and Film at University College Dublin. Through theatre games and creative discussions, she encourages fun and confidence building in class.

Freya’s passion is storytelling, character exploration, and world building. Her dystopian contemporary play “Sanctuary” was performed in the Mermaid Theatre in 2021, in collaboration with the Fighting Words Young Playwrights Programme. In April 2024, she wrote, choreographed, and performed in her first original solo piece “(P)Art of Me,” where she drew self portraits in live time while telling fantastical stories to her audience.

All staff are Garda vetted and have completed their ‘Children First’ safety training.

Savana Bartual Smyth 

Savana Bartual Smyth is an award winning Spanish-Irish actress based in Dublin who graduated from the Gaiety School of Acting in 2019. Before this, she attended Cork School of Music receiving a scholarship to complete her Grade 8 Speech and Drama Award. She won a bursary allowing her to further her acting training in the two week intensive course at The Lir

Savana brings a warm and bright energy to classes with her ability to create a playful and accepting atmosphere! 

She has performed in many stage productions, most recently ‘In Praise of Me, You, and All We’re Going Through’ Directed by Sorcha Harris. (Smock Alley Theatre)

In recent years she has concentrated her Acting career towards film projects. Savana is currently working on Netflix’s Emmy award winning TV show, Wednesday
