In Action Arts, students in first class and up are encouraged to complete an optional exam with The Irish Board of Speech and Drama. Exams will take place in December. Material for this will be covered from Sept- Dec in class. There is a fee required to take an IBSD exam.
One class in December will be dedicated to taking these examinations, and times of examinations may vary. We try to get through all students during class time on the day of the exams, but some may be required to come early or later to class on this day.
Each year, Action Arts performs in a local theatre for one night. Parents/Guardians and students should understand that it is possible that you will not get cast in the role you want. There are so many brilliant students and we wish we could cast you all in your dream roles, but unfortunately, that is not possible and we want to avoid upset from parents/ students. Either way, shows are always the best fun and such a great experience!
Parents/ Guardians and students should understand that putting on a show sometimes requires extra rehearsals. Extra rehearsals will take place in May before our show and will not take place during school time.
Fees must be paid in full, a class missed by a student does not equal nopayment for that class.
Your fees will be calculated based on the number of students you selected above. If you wish to pay by card, please note that there is an online transaction fee included in the overall fee.
